1. About LeavePrints
LeavePrints is operated by Josh Dean trading as LeavePrints. Contact: hello@leaveprints.com.
LeavePrints helps users build multi-city routes, estimate backpacker travel costs, save trips and optionally share public routes ("Prints").
2. Agreeing to these Terms
By creating an account or using the authenticated LeavePrints service, you agree to these Terms. At registration we also ask you to acknowledge the Privacy Policy. The Privacy Policy explains how personal data is handled; it is not a request for marketing consent.
You must be legally able to agree to these Terms. If you are under 18, you should use LeavePrints only with the permission and supervision of a parent or guardian.
3. Your account
You must provide accurate account information, keep your login credentials secure, and not allow another person to misuse your account. Tell us promptly if you believe your account has been compromised.
One person should not create accounts in bulk, impersonate another person, or use LeavePrints to evade restrictions placed on a previous account.
4. LeavePrints is currently a beta service
Features may change, be added, be removed or occasionally stop working while the product is being developed. We may impose reasonable usage limits, pause parts of the service for maintenance, or discontinue a beta feature.
We will try to operate LeavePrints reliably, but beta access does not promise uninterrupted availability or permanent storage of every feature or draft.
5. Cost estimates are estimates
LeavePrints is designed to help you understand the likely scale of a backpacking budget. Accommodation, living-cost, exchange-rate and other figures may come from third-party or manually maintained data and can become outdated or differ from the price you actually pay.
Travel-style multipliers and estimated daily costs are planning tools, not quotes, guarantees or financial advice. Transport costs that you enter manually are based on your own input. Always leave room in your budget for price changes, emergencies and costs that are not included in LeavePrints.
6. Visas, Schengen information and travel rules
Any visa, entry, Schengen, border, safety or similar travel information shown by LeavePrints is general planning information only. It is not legal, immigration, consular or safety advice and it may not reflect your nationality, residence, personal circumstances or the latest rule changes.
You are responsible for checking official government, border and consular sources before making bookings or travelling. LeavePrints does not make decisions about whether you are legally entitled to enter or remain in a country.
7. Public Prints
Saved trips are private unless you choose to make one public. If you enable public sharing, anyone with the link may be able to view the route and the information LeavePrints includes on the public page, and may copy that route into their own trip.
Public Prints may also appear in Explore with your LeavePrints username. Other signed-in travellers can save a public Print or use it as the basis of their own saved trip. LeavePrints may assign creator points for those meaningful actions. Points are a beta reputation/engagement feature only: they have no cash value, cannot be transferred or redeemed, and the scoring or ranking method may change as the product develops. Attempts to manipulate points through duplicate, self-directed or automated activity may be ignored or removed.
You are responsible for content you choose to make public. Do not publish sensitive, unlawful, confidential or personally identifying information that you do not have the right to share. You can revoke a LeavePrints sharing link, but that cannot erase screenshots, copies or information already saved elsewhere.
8. Acceptable use
You must not use LeavePrints to:
- break the law or infringe another person's rights;
- attempt to gain unauthorised access to accounts, databases or infrastructure;
- probe, attack, overload or deliberately disrupt the service;
- upload or distribute malicious code;
- scrape or automate requests in a way that harms the service or bypasses reasonable limits; or
- use public sharing to publish abusive, deceptive or unlawful material.
We may restrict or suspend access where reasonably necessary to protect LeavePrints, other users or legal compliance.
9. Your content and LeavePrints intellectual property
You keep ownership of original content you add to LeavePrints. You give us a limited licence to host, process and display that content only as needed to provide the service. If you make a Print public, that licence includes displaying the public Print to people who access its sharing link.
The LeavePrints name, branding, software, design and original product content are owned by or licensed to the operator and are protected by applicable intellectual property laws. These Terms do not transfer ownership of them to you.
10. Third-party services and data
LeavePrints depends on third-party hosting, email, exchange-rate and other technical services. Third-party data can be delayed, inaccurate or unavailable. Links to external websites are provided for convenience and do not make us responsible for those websites or their content.
11. Responsibility and liability
Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability where it would be unlawful to do so, including liability for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or any consumer rights that cannot legally be excluded.
Subject to that, LeavePrints is a planning tool and you remain responsible for your bookings, travel decisions, documents, personal safety and spending. To the extent permitted by law, we are not responsible for losses caused by relying on an estimate as if it were guaranteed, by inaccurate or unavailable third-party data, by decisions made by travel providers or authorities, or by events outside our reasonable control.
12. Ending or suspending use
You may stop using LeavePrints at any time. Signed-in users can permanently delete their account from Account settings. You can also contact hello@leaveprints.com with account or data requests.
We may suspend or terminate access where reasonably necessary because of serious or repeated breach of these Terms, security risk, unlawful use, or discontinuation of the service. Where practical, we will act proportionately to the issue.
13. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms as LeavePrints develops. The version and effective date appear at the top. If a change materially affects users, we will provide reasonable notice where appropriate. Changes apply prospectively from their stated effective date.
14. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. If you are a consumer, you keep any mandatory rights you have under the law where you live, including any rights to bring proceedings in courts available to you under applicable consumer law.
